Scripts
I've always had an interest in script writing, be it for film,
television or the stage. My interest is great, but my experience
is minimal. I've only written a few of things thus far.
In June of 2000, I completed an RMIT short course, Screenwriting
- Introduction, taught by Dr Lisa Dethridge.
Below is some information on scripts I have written that have actually
progressed somewhere. I have written others that nothing has happened
with.
Stage
Happily Ever After
This is a short play of about 10 minutes. It's a drama about
infertility and the desire for children.
I wrote it originally as an entry into the Short
& Sweet Festival. It was short listed for the 2005 Melbourne
Short & Sweet Festival. Unfortunately it didn't make the final
cut.
It has since had a re-write and been accepted for Cabaret Voltair's
Short Shorts season. It will be performed as part of
a set of short plays directed by Rhyannon Grace, called Moment
In Time. Details as follows.
Date: Sunday 30 November 2008
Time: 8pm (bar opens at 7pm)
Location: Australian Centre Of Performing Arts, 14 Raglan St,
North Melbourne
Bookings: admin@acopa.com.au
or (03) 9326 3006
Facilitation
This is a short play of about 10 minutes which I wrote as an
entry into the Short
& Sweet Festival. It was short listed for the 2006 Melbourne
Short & Sweet Festival. Unfortunately it didn't make the final
cut. Ah well... better luck next time!
Film
Soon
This is a short film script. It's a one-character, grave-side
monologue that runs to about 3 minutes. Produced by Gary
Hegedus Productions it was shot in June 2007. In addition
to writing the script, I also acted in the film. More
info and pictures in the acting section.
