| I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), majoring in History, from
the University of Melbourne and a Master of Arts in Australian Studies
from Monash University. My M.A. thesis was titled Victorian Cinema
Landscapes. In June of 2000, I completed an RMIT short course,
Screenwriting - Introduction, taught by Dr Lisa Dethridge.
I write both fiction and non-fiction, long and short, as well as
doing some editing. I am available for speaking engagements at schools,
conferences, etc. See the Speaking section
for more information.
I write a regular blog called Literary
Clutter, about books and writing.
I've had 45 books published so far. Several of my books can be
purchased online through the Show
and Tell Promotions Online Bookshop.
Two of my books Life, Death
and Detention and Real Sci-Fi
are on the booklist for the 2010
Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge. This is their sixth year
on the list.
My latest placements are:
- A school reader, Talk About Teeth, to Macmillan Education
Australia.
- A magazine review of Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine
#43 for the Australian Spec Fic in Focus website.
- A set of six books, "What's in My Food?", for Macmillan
Australia's Young Library series.
- A book review of TimeRiders by Alex Scarrow for the
