Reading Recovery

This is a series of levelled guided readers. They are being put together by Pearson Australia in conjunction with Dorling Kindersley in the UK.

Mega Cities To be published in 2010. This book is at Reading Recovery level 30, aimed at 10-11 year olds. This book takes a look at the world's Mega Cities, which are those with a population in excess of 10 million people.

Watching the Weather To be published in 2010. This book is at Reading Recovery level 6, aimed at 6-7 year olds. This is a very basic book about the weather — hot, cold, rainy, windy and stormy. Really enjoyed writing this one as its about the level my daughter Nykita is reading at the moment.

Spies To be published in 2010. This book is at Reading Recovery level 27, aimed at 8-10 year olds. This is a straight-forward approach to spies — what they do; how they do it; what sort of gadgets they use; with a bit of history thrown in; and even a round-up of some of the more popular fictional spies.
