This is a series of chapter books being put together by Macmillan Education Australia. They are fiction books for middle and upper primary, focusing on certain genres and encouraging critical reading in students.

It's a mystery about two kids who find an old letter hidden behind a filing cabinet in their local library. The letter mentions a treasure and contains a clue. The kids start following the clues to unravel a mystery about a local millionaire who died under mysterious circumstances.
X Marks the MP3 ISBN: 9781420273571 Published in December 2009. Illustrated by Gregory Myers. This book is at middle primary level. It's an adventure story set in Japan. Andy and his parents go for a holiday to Japan, but are pursued by mysterious men in black suits, wearing red dots on their lapels. And Andy's brand new MP3 player has been damaged — it's displaying weird symbols and numbers on its screen, and someone has scratched an X onto the back of it. What does it all mean?
The Next Finder ISBN: 9781420273540 Published in December 2009. Illustrated by Julian Drakakis. This book is at upper primary level. It's a fantasy about a boy named Toby who discovers a very unusual piece of junk in the local junkyard. He takes it home and that night is attacked by mysterious shadows. Returning to the junkyard he meets the owner, Mr Scarp, and a range of creatures made from junk. The fate of the world hangs in the balance and it's up to Toby to put things right.
