This is a series of books for a children's literacy program published in 2007/2008 by Pearson Education Australia's Rigby imprint. The program is divided into topic units and levels. Each unit comprises non-fiction books, fiction chapter books and Big Ideas books (which contain short stories, poetry and short non-fiction pieces). As well as the books listed below, I also have a short story in the The Big Ideas Book: Families in Focus.

This chapter book is at middle primary level and is for the Machines unit. It's a science fiction story about two kids who enter a totally automated house in which the main computer has gone insane.

This chapter book is at upper primary level and is for the There’s More to Me unit. It's a science fiction story about the inhabitants of Planet Maximus Prime who are desperate to find balance in their lives and fight off an impending invasion. It's up to Earth boy Josh Maxwell to help save the day.

House of Cards

Published in August 2008. Illustrated by Elena Leong.

This chapter book is at upper primary level and is for the Up Close and Personal unit. It's about a 12 year old boy named Gary who writes a fan letter to his favourite author. A friendship ends up developing between the two, changing both their lives for the better.
